You must qualify under CleanBC’s income Level 1 or 2 based on household size and combined annual income. Level 3 participants are not eligible for window and door rebates.
All installations must be done by a licensed contractor with a valid BC business license and GST number. Contractors must be qualified for the trade related to the upgrade. Self-installations are not eligible, and all upgrades must replace existing exterior windows and doors, including frames. Skylights and garage additions do not qualify.
Only replacements of existing exterior windows or doors qualify. Each rough opening counts as one unit, including bay windows. Upgrades must be completed on or after November 25, 2024, and use rebate-eligible products. Applications must be completed within one year of the invoice date and include photo documentation of certified model labels.
Upgrade for comfort, savings, and sustainability.
A certified energy advisor will visit your home to assess your existing windows and doors, then provide an official energy rating—required before any upgrades can begin.
Work with your contractor to select ENERGY STAR® certified windows and doors with a U-Factor of 1.22 or lower. A minimum of three units must be replaced. A licensed contractor must professionally install all products, and original labels must remain on the products for verification.
After installation, your advisor returns to verify the work meets program standards. Once confirmed, your rebate application is submitted for processing and payment.
